A Letter from Home ...  |

| Almost a month to the day J.B. (A3C
James B. Jones) was Killed In Action, I received a letter from his
parents, written by his mother. It is very personal, and private, and I
share it now only because I know that many parents were too distraught to
reply to letters from their dead son or daughter's friends. It is still
difficult for me to read, even after thirty years. I only ask that you
respect this decent family and read the letter as if it was written to you
... for in a way, it was written to us all. Don Poss |
