China beach was more than just sand and surf. It represented a moment of calm for battle weary soldiers. Help keep the stories about the Vietnam War alive, by learning from veterans and teaching what you've learned to the younger generation. There are many important things about the war they simply don't teach in school. The truth has a way of vanisihing into the darkness without some sort of history lesson plan.

A day at China Beach, renown to Vietvets and made famous by the television series, China Beach (that was nothing like I ever saw ... but one of my favorite series!), staring Dana Delany. Miles of white sandy beaches, warm gentle waves, and wading 200 yards out and water still at waist level. A Western vacation tropical paradise, it would have been, with cotton-ball clouds nestled against Monkey Mountain. A day at China Beach with some of the guys ... a little California Dreaming of home, American beauties, and the equally beautiful sandy beaches of Long Beach, California.
